Just four episodes into the new season of "The Walking Dead," it seems like Rick and his group have covered a lot of ground already. They've now dealt with the cannibals at Terminus and are currently dealing with the kidnapping of Beth. Last episode ("Slabtown") added the need to rescue Carol as well.
Nothing is ever easy in "The Walking Dead," and Rick and the gang have to persistently find ways to survive and keep each other alive, even if it means having to split up again to cover more ground.
In the last episode, Daryl and Carol went on a rescue mission for Beth who was kidnapped. The guys actually had figured out what the car with a cross had to do with Beth's kidnapping. At the end of the episode, Carol was seen on a wheelchair being brought to the scary hospital in Atlanta. Where's Daryl? No one knows.
Fans of the show would think that the next episode will focus on rescuing both Beth and Carol, but in the episode preview, the focus is on Sgt. Abraham and his mission to rescue Dr. Eugene Porter in Washington.
The fifth episode for season 5 is titled "Self-Help." According to IBT, the group again splits, with Abraham taking a group of people with him to D.C. But the preview video shows Abraham's group entering a building on foot. Why? It's either the group has decided to get some much-needed rest, or something unexpected happened on the road. Nevertheless, it's clear that Abraham is starting to lose it.
Conversely, the group left behind with Rick has a map to D.C. that Abraham left them. However, as Rick is waiting for Daryl and Carol to return from their rescue mission, it may just dawn on him that they have to set out for a rescue mission on their own as well.
"The Walking Dead" returns on Sunday, 9 p.m. on AMC.
