Many Christians seek for a "sign" if something is "God's will" for them.
The fact that you opened this article means that, perhaps, you yourself are looking for something like that, too.

The truth is, my friend, God does not leave us all hanging. He makes things clear for us. He is not a God who confuses His people; rather, He's the God who gives us peace and a sure footing.
David tells us of God in Psalm 18:32-33,
"It is God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of deer, and sets me on my high places."
Jesus Himself tells us in John 14:27,
"Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
That said, we can be assured that God will never let us down and lead us astray. He will clearly let us know if something is His will for us.
Making it simple
God did not leave us in the dark as to knowing what His will is. He left us keys that we can use to know what He wants for us.
His will really isn't difficult to know, but we often face hardships discovering it. Most of the time, this is because we fail to make use of these keys.
In this article we'll take a quick look at two things that will help us know if something is God's will for us.
1) God's word
Romans 12:1-2 tells us,
"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."
This is very clear. When we present ourselves to God and allow His word to renew our minds, we will be able to know His will.
God's word contains God's will. It's His word, and all that is in it is from His heart.
Taking the word out of context, however, is a dangerous thing. We should read the word and know what it says.
2) The Holy Spirit's unction
The Lord Jesus said in John 14:26,
"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you."
The Holy Spirit will tell us of all truth. He will do this by reminding us of what the Lord Jesus taught, and by telling us of "what is to come."
"However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come." (John 16:13)
If we are in Christ, the Holy Spirit dwells in us. He is our ever-present guide and help. God Himself said in Ezekiel 36:27,
"I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them."
