Kevin Spacey won Best Actor in a TV Drama Series at the recently held Golden Globes. While his speech was an emotional and heart-touching one, what came next was something fans found satisfaction in — the "House of Cards" season 3 trailer.
It is about time that the trailer for the third season is released, given that "House of Cards" season 3 will be airing on Netflix come Feb. 27. There will be 13 episodes this season and the first one is certainly something to look forward to.
The trailer is intense, intriguing and ominous, to say the least. It is everything fans can expect for the third season where the spotlight is on Francis Underwood taking office at the White House as the 46th U.S. President. Finally, all his hard work has paid off. But will this be the end of his battles? Not by a long shot.
"You want to know what takes real courage? Holding it all together when the stakes are this high," says Frank Underwood while standing in the Oval Office.
Cut shot to an argument between Frank and his wife Claire, who utters, "We're murderers, Francis."
Frank replies, "We're survivors."
Both dialogues could be pointing to a major conflict between the power couple and the struggle to stay on top with other people trying to destroy the crafty politician. After all, if there is any person who knows how that is done, it should be him.
Moreover, after the trailer reveal at the Globes, Spacey said a couple of words behind the curtains. He said:
I can tell you exclusively that there will be scenes and dialogue, movement, surprises — some of it taking place in the White House — some of it taking place somewhere else. There are shocks surprises, holes and turns. Yes, you got it from me here."
"House of Cards" season 3 will be available for streaming on Netflix on Feb. 27.
