"Fargo" season 1 did a mighty fine job and they were rewarded for it big time. At the recently held Golden Globes, the show won Best Mini-Series and Best Actor in a Mini-Series. The accolades sure do take the expectations several notches higher for season 2, but FX CEO John Landgraf is anything but worried. 

By the looks of things, "Fargo" season 2 will continue the momentum they built from the previous season. But this time around, a President will be included in the mix.

"It's a big sprawling, in some ways, more comedic, though at times, a very serious show," Landgraf shared during the Television Critics Association Panel. 

Landgraf added, "It's set in the late-Seventies against the backdrop of Ronald Reagan's first campaign for President of the United States. Reagan is a character in it ... Reagan will be interacting with our characters." 

This sounds exciting indeed, but who will play Reagan? Well, that remains as a surprise. 

Apart from this revelation, Rolling Stone reports that Patrick Wilson will be joining season 2. He will play a character named Lou Solverson, father of Molly Solverson. According to the report, Lou just got back from Vietnam and will start working as a Minnesota State Patrolman. His first case is investigating a mob syndicate. 

Other confirmed cast members include Ted Danson to play Lou's father-in-law, then there's Nick Offerman to play a lawyer named Karl Weathers. 

Another topic up for discussion is the presence of a strong female lead in season 1 played by Allison Tolman. Will they have the same female icon in the second season? 

"A lot of what it's about is the cultural transformation that was going on at the time. It's about the sense that the war has come home. It's also about feminism, so there are some really significant female characters," Landgraf said. So that is a big yes. 

"Fargo" season 2 will have 10 episodes. Filming will begin next week and the show will air fall of 2015.
