There are newly released photos taken on the set of Zack Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." The photos show Bruce Wayne in the cemetery. What possible reasons could have led Ben Affleck's character to be there?
It has to be pointed out that Batman isn't someone who likes going out during daytime. Seeing him in the cemetery could mean that it's an important event for Bruce Wayne. If one takes a look at the photos, they can see that the scene looks sad and somber.
The short post in Superman Homepage also shows that the crew and cast were filming in a place called "Smallville Cemetery," which is actually a great touch in linking the world of Superman and Batman. Affleck can be seen standing over a tombstone and wearing a suit.
A tweet from HenryCavillOrg suggests that even Henry Cavill, Diane Lane, Amy Adams and Laurence Fishburne were in the same set. This might mean that the tombstone could be that of Jonathan Kent's, Clark Kent's father. It was pointed out that Jonathan's tombstone is there.
However, there is no confirmation that it was indeed Jonathan tombstone's that was being filmed. According to Cinema Blend, it is highly unlikely that the cast were filming around Jonathan's grave as it is "ill-timed" even if Bruce and Clark are trying to be friends. The site suggests that there could be another important person that will die in the movie — a person significant enough to make all those people gather together in the cemetery.
On the other hand, Cinema Blend also considers the fact that the movie isn't about killing off characters, it's about adding new ones. But the site made a wild guess that it could be Scoot McNairy that gets killed off.
"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is set for release on March 25, 2016. While the movie release is still a long way to go, there are rumors that the first trailer will come out this year. There could be some truth to it given that Snyder and the team have been busy filming and could already have enough material to use for the first movie trailer.
