God can do anything. His power is limitless, and His love knows no end. He created all of creation with just the words of His mouth. He is absolutely powerful, and nothing is able to stand before Him.

Despite God's power, there are a few things that He cannot do and will never ever do. This doesn't mean that there's something more powerful than Him -- there's none.

What this means, however, is that He is truly a good, merciful, and gracious God in whom there is no darkness at all (see 1 John 1:5).

And so without further ado, here are a few things that God will never ever do to any Christian who follows Him.

1) God will never lie to you

God will never ever lie to anyone. Unlike the devil who is also the "father of lies" (see John 8:44), God will never ever lie, spread fake news, and deceive anyone.

Numbers 23:19 tells us,

"God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?"

Because God does not lie, we can count on Him to fulfill what He said. The Lord Jesus assures us in Matthew 24:35,

"Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away"

2) God will never condemn you for the sins He has already forgiven

Many Christians live in a constant state of being condemned for the sins that God has already forgiven them, simply because they do not know God.

Anybody who has sincerely repented of their sins and have come to faith in Christ for salvation and forgiveness receives God's forgiveness.

And when God forgives sins, He does not retain a list of these sins so He can condemn us whenever we fail at something. No, He forgets our sins.

God Himself said in Isaiah 43:25,

"I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; And I will not remember your sins."

Romans 8:1 assures us,

"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit."

3) God will never leave you nor forsake you -- ever

God, who never breaks His word and does not condemn us for the sins He has already forgiven, promised us that He will always be there for us.

How He said it actually means He'll be more than just "there for us:"

"I will never leave you nor forsake you." (see Hebrews 13:5)
