In line with the release of the much-awaited Xbox One X on Nov. 7, Argos has launched a new delivery service that will please 90 percent of Londoners — a Fast Track system that will arrive on customers' doorsteps one minute past midnight.
Game-crazy Londoners, at least some of them, need not fall in long lines to get their hands on the new Xbox One as soon as it hits the stores. Argos is debuting a new delivery service, called Minute-Past-Midnight, just for them.
In this new system, the Argos Fast Track team will knock on customers' doors at "exactly one-minute past midnight on the day of the console's launch."
"We're delighted to offer a selected number of our customers the ultimate in convenience, with a delivery right to their doorstep just after midnight — making them the very first in the UK to get their hands on this coveted console," Darren Frost, head of Argos' Fast Track delivery service, said in an official statement.
Frost added that this new stint is a bid to please gaming fans who have been waiting patiently for the release of Xbox One X.
The new system is available to customers living in London Zones 1 to 5. To avail, a customer must pre-order the console at the Argos website and pay for the £3.95 Fast Track service. The 12:01 a.m. pre-order slots are limited, so interested customers should apply fast. More details can be found on the Argos Twitter account.
Meantime, those who failed to register for the midnight Fast Track service, but live in the mentioned London locations, can still avail of same-day delivery — up to four hours waiting time — for orders placed before 6 p.m. BST.
Xbox One X is one of the year's most-anticipated gaming consoles with its 4K gaming support, blockbuster titles, immersive graphics details, faster load times and 6 teraflops of graphical processing power. It will hit the shelves on Tuesday, Nov. 7, for £449.99/$499.99.
