NBC' primetime coverage of the 2014 Sochi Olympics begins at 8p.m. ET weekdays. Matt Lauer took over for host Bob Costas for the NBC primetime show on Tuesday evening. This is because Costas has been suffering from a visible eye infection. NBC made the announcement Tuesday morning and also tweeted: "We're going to the bullpen and you're Mariano Rivera," Costas to Matt Lauer, who will host primetime & late night tonight as Costas rests.
NBC's live weekend and NBCSN's live weekday coverage is provided by Al Michaels, while the weekday daytime show is hosted by NBC News' Lester Holt.
For those in the United Kingdom, live comprehensive digital coverage is being provided by BBC Sport for all devices – computers, tablets and mobile. BBC is streaming over 650 hours of live action from Sochi in clear HD. Presenters for this year's Olympics include Clare Balding, Hazel Irvine, and Jonathan Edwards. Analysis are former Olympians Amy, Graham Bell, Colin Bryce, Emma Carrick-Anderson, Robin Cousins, Jackie Lockhart and Wilf O'Reilly.
