"The Walking Dead" season 4 mid-season premiere episode will be airing on Feb. 9, 2014 on AMC at 9 p.m. ET.
The Walking Dead season 4 episode 9 is titled "After" and comes two months after the airing of episode 8 "Too Far Gone" on Dec. 1, 2014.
However, prior to Sunday night's premiere, the ninth episode was leaked for free on Xbox Video on Saturday morning. But before word got too out of hand, the episode promptly taken down. This leak was confirmed by AMC, which did not state any further comments on how the incident happened.
Walking Dead fans can catch up and watch the full season 4 episodes via live stream on amc.com. The latest episode will also be made available on AMC after the Feb. 9 air date.
In December's midseason finale, viewers saw the deaths of Megan, Hershel and The Governor himself.
The fate of baby Judith is not known yet.
Executive producer Robert Kirkman recently told Entertainment Weekly: "I'm going to start with the not awesome thing: Judith was a baby in a place with free-roaming walkers, so the math isn't very good there. On top of that, there's things we wouldn't show on television ... so there's that."
He also told EW that new characters will be introduced this season. "These characters are going to be extremely similar to who they were in the comics, and I'm really excited about that. The visuals and costuming for them has been absolutely amazing. These people really do look like they were torn out of the comic page, it's pretty startling, but I will say people excited for the introduction of these characters won't have to wait very long."
