Square Enix, the publisher of "Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth," the 2006 PlayStation Portable (PSP) port of the 1999 PlayStation title "Valkyrie Profile," published a preview trailer on YouTube titled "VALKYRIE PROFILE -LENNETH-: First Teaser Trailer 2018."

As first reported by Gematsu, Square Enix released a YouTube trailer for its 2006 Japanese role-playing game (JRPG) on March 2. According to Gematsu, the description of the video reads, "In 2018, the goddess descends." The Japanese text in the trailer, on the other hand, states: "You have the right to live. I am a selector of souls. I choose human souls like I'm picking flowers!? What is a Valkyrie!? Am I a god of death?"

A Japanese Twitter account with currently two tweets was also made on the same day the trailer was published. The first tweet said that the Twitter handler will be giving out information about the game. The second tweet thanked those who had re-Tweeted and commented on the first tweet.

It is unclear what Square Enix plan is for releasing the trailer for the 2006 game. Square Enix has been busy with remaking and remastering classic games like "Secret of Mana," "Final Fantasy" and the recently released "Chrono Trigger," so it will not come as surprise if the publisher decided to remake or remaster "Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth." Another possible option could be that Square Enix will release ports for today's generation platforms. Afterall, "Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth" is a PSP port of the original 1999 "Valkyrie Profile" as mentioned earlier.

Seeing as Square Enix has yet to release information on what the trailer is for, a possible remake, remaster or port are just rumors until Square Enix confirms. "Valkyrie Profile" fans can check out the game's Twitter account for updates and news.
