UFC boss Dana White shuts down the possibility of a mega fight between Conor "Notorious" McGregor and UFC Middleweight Champion Georges St-Pierre. White then name-dropped Tyron Woodley and Robert Whittaker as potential opponents for St-Pierre.
White quickly put an end to the rumors of a bout between McGregor and GSP during an interview with ESPN. "He ain't fighting Conor McGregor," he said. White then presented other contenders to face the French-Canadian fighter. "If he wants to come back, Tyron Woodley (UFC Welterweight Champion) and Robert Whitaker (middleweight champion) is waiting for him. They're both waiting, if Georges wants to come back."

St-Pierre's own trainer Firas Zahabi said a match between GSP and McGregor will be the biggest match-up in UFC history and that he wants it to happen. "It would probably be the biggest fight in UFC history and MMA history. And that record wouldn't be broken for ten years. So why not do it," Zahabi told Express.
In his middleweight debut, GSP stripped Michael Bisping's UFC Middleweight belt earlier in November. McGregor's most recent fight, on the other hand, took place on a boxing ring and not the octagon. Notorious was unsuccessful in overpowering boxing's undefeated star Floyd Mayweather Jr.
McGregor is looking for a UFC comeback soon. He told TMZ that he wants to fight an MMA star next. The Irish mixed martial artist said he wants a "real fight" next. "I think a true fight is what I want to do next. MMA next," he said. McGregor's last MMA fight was against Eddie Alvarez whom he defeated with a TKO and won the UFC Lightweight Championship title.
McGregor also put an end on his potential bout against Filipino Pride Manny Pacquiao. There are still no updates from McGregor or his camp on when he plans to return to the octagon.
