Everyone knows that J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) is back in Genoa City for professional purposes. However, "The Young and the Restless" spoilers hint that there may be personal reasons involved as well.
For starters, he will take Abby (Melissa Ordway) by surprise this week. He will seemingly ask her out on a date. Abby will wonder if he is serious about it, and it seems that J.T. might be. This is a hint that J.T. is having some problems at home. He might be having marital problems with Mac (Clementine Ford), which is probably why he came back to take the job.
Fans know that Abby made it clear to Scott (Daniel Hall) that she is not willing to be the other woman in his relationship with Sharon (Sharon Case). Should J.T. really ask her out, she might feel like she attracts men who want to be unfaithful.
Another hint that suggests J.T. may be having problems at home will come in next week's episodes. Apart from Abby, he will surprise Victoria (Amelia Heinle) as well. As to how and why remains to be determined but there are some options to consider. He could give Victoria a thoughtful Christmas present, which can be a way for them to reconnect. There is still a spark between these two former flames so it is not difficult to see them reuniting while both are in the same place.
Plus, Victoria is single and she may be up for the idea of getting back together with him — depending on how things turn out in the end. She does not exactly see Billy (Jason Thompson) in that kind of light anymore, especially when he is happily dating Phyllis (Gina Tognoni). So, J.T. serves to be a good option for her.
If not the present, then J.T. might reveal that he and Mac are going through a rough time in their marriage lately. He could reveal that they might be getting a divorce and that is why he wants to return to Genoa City. Knowing that J.T. is sticking around for a while and with the account irregularities investigation coming to a close, he will need a good reason to stay. Perhaps avoiding Mac is that reason.
"The Young and the Restless" airs Mondays to Fridays, 12:30 p.m. EST on CBS.
