There is only one week left to go before the season 4 premiere of "The Flash," and fans cannot wait to delve into the events surrounding the life of Barry (Grant Gustin) and the rest of his S.T.A.R. Labs team.
Still, tons of spoilers about the season 4 premiere of the popular The CW series still abound, and even the executive producers of the shows cannot resist giving fans some juicy bits of information.
Talking about The Flash's newest nemesis in season 4, executive producer Todd Helbing told TV Line: "There's a lot of chess pieces that he's moving around simultaneously. As our team is figuring out who he is and what they think the plan is, there's a lot of fun [as we] show the audience information and then have our team catch up to that information or surpass it. It's a big mystery."
Fellow executive producer Andrew Kreisberg also teased the fans with "The Thinker's" role in the upcoming season, and said that he will be unlike all the villains Team Flash ever faced. According to TV Insider, "The Thinker" will be an intelligence threat to Barry, but will not necessarily foil the Speedster's plans. "He has a need for him, I would say is more accurate," said Kreisberg.
Aside from "The Thinker," new characters are also set to premiere on the series' new installment. Season 4 will pave the way for Hartley Sawyer's debut on the show, where he will play as DC Comics private eye Ralph Dibny, also called the "Elongated Man," because of his malleability powers. Kreisberg also teased that the mystery surrounding Dibny's powers will be one of the highlights of season 4.
Danielle Panabaker is also set to reprise her role in the series as Caitlin, but things will be different for her in the new season because of her newly-acquired icy powers called Killer Frost. Although last seen leaving Central City, Kreisberg also revealed that "she will definitely come back into the fold in the premiere episode."
"The Flash" season 4 will premiere on Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
