Juggernaut video game developers, Bethesda Softworks, has released a downloadable content (DLC) expansion pack as of Oct. 23 titled "Clockwork City" for "The Elder Scrolls Online." The release of the new expansion pack is in line with the promise of the game's developers to consistently provide additional content for the massive online game. Players will now be granted a standalone story line, and even more areas to play through and discover.
In a report by True Achievements, the brave adventurers of "The Elder Scrolls Online" will be able to explore the entirely new area called Sotha Sil's Clockwork City. The amount of additional content has been estimated to be 10 hours' worth of gameplay, which is definitely no slouch for an expansion. The story involves a looming threat from the insidious Deadric race, and the city itself is a new and unique sight.
As with most expansions, there are many other features that are aimed at improving and adding to the overall gaming experience for players. According to Game Reactor, the expansion includes two new world bosses, as well as its respective unique rewards. There is also a new game mode titled The Asylum Sanctorium, wherein 12 players will test their mettle and skill to receive in-game rewards depending on the difficulty of the challenges they embark in.
In a game review by MMORPG, another welcome addition in the game is the new options with which players can modify their equipment by way of Transmutation. Including the latest update for the "Clockwork City" expansion, there will be a total of 16 new transmutation features which allows players to modify the attributes of their equipment.
Another notable improvement that came with the expansion is performance enhancement, which has seen a significant 15 to 30 percent improvement in frames per second. The team over at Bethesda Softworks are continuing to work on improving the game with constant patches and updates, according to PC Gamer.
"The Elder Scrolls: Clockwork City" is available now on the PC for about $20 or 2000 in-game Crowns. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version will be released on Nov. 7.
