Someone is preparing for her big comeback in the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the next episode of "The Blacklist" season 5. NBC's crime drama series will feature Elizabeth "Liz" Keen (Megan Boone) trying to find her way back into the Bureau, but she needs to prove that she is physically, emotionally and mentally fit to take on a crucial role in the FBI once again. Figuring out if Liz is now ready to be reinstated is guest star Martha Plimpton's character as a psychotherapist.
"The Blacklist" season 5 episode 14, titled "Dr. Raleigh Sinclair," will be mostly centered on Liz's evaluation as she tries to prove that she is fit to return to her job. Dr. Sharon Friedman (Plimpton) is the one assigned by the Bureau to study Liz's current mental state. The official synopsis also hints another action-packed episode for Red Reddington (James Spader) as he works together with the Task Force in tracking down a Blacklister who helps people accused of murder in devising strong alibis.
The link between the episode 14 title and the actual plot of the episode is still uncertain, although it is rumored that Dr. Raleigh Sinclair III could be the person who can help out Liz to be reinstated in the Bureau. At this point, Liz might find it hard to conceal her deep-rooted emotion, especially her lust for revenge, following the death of Tom Keen (Ryan Eggold). Her evaluator could easily see her true motives in going back to the FBI, and in the end, Liz could lose her chance to get her job back. It is likely that she will need some extra help inside the Bureau to save her a spot.
The previous episode of "The Blacklist" season 5 saw Liz finding an important hint that will help her investigate Tom's death. For now, it looks like justice will have to wait a little longer as Liz is still putting the pieces together. "The Blacklist" season 5 episode 14 will be aired next Wednesday, Feb. 28, as NBC will use the show's primetime spot this week to cover the 2018 Winter Olympics. The series airs at 8 p.m. EST.
