After their devastation loss when Liz (Megan Boon) was reportedly killed in the previous episode, the FBI will launch a massive manhunt to look for the person who killed her in the upcoming episode of "The Blacklist" season 3.
The trailer for the episode called "The Artax Network" showed the team saying their last goodbyes to Liz during her funeral. This will also bring back Red (James Spader) into the mix after Tom (Ryan Eggold) banned him from seeing Liz and their baby.
According to the synopsis for the episode: "After an unexpected loss devastates the FBI task force, they must track down their assailants; a mysterious group whose agents operate using a worldwide satellite network. Meanwhile, Reddington is forced to confront a ghost from his past."
Perhaps the ghost that Red wants to keep hidden in his past is Susan "Scottie" Halstead, portrayed by actress Famke Janssen. This will be Scottie's first appearance in the series to introduce her as the lead character in the upcoming spin-off drama together with Tom.
But Red appears to be unhappy to see her in a security footage, saying: "All these years, I've anticipated almost every threat, not this one."
What did Scottie do that made Red on the edge of his seat upon her sudden reappearance? Did she have something to do with Liz's death?
But despite Liz's upcoming funeral, most of the fans are still hoping to learn that she was only faking her death again this season. However, Spader seemed to have shot down the fans' hopes during an interview with Entertainment Weekly where he said, "I think it's most prudent not only as just myself and what I know or don't know for that, but also in terms of the character of Reddington: Elizabeth Keen is dead."
"The Blacklist" season 3 episode 20 will air on April 28 on NBC.
