A teacher has been fired over a bikini photo that school administrators felt was wholly inappropriate given the teacher's position.

Olivia Sprauer was a ninth grade English teacher in Boca Raton, Fla., but she was recently forced to resign and was escorted off the high school campus after it became known that in addition to being a teacher, she also moonlighted as a bikini model.

The racy photos upset school authorities at Martin County High School who felt compelled to take action.

Sprauer, 26, only started teaching at Martin County High School in 2011. However, according to reports after suffering a divorce, and after struggling to cope raising two children, she decided to model swimwear to earn extra money.

In an attempt to disguise her other job Sprauer began glamour modeling under the name Victoria Valentine James. It is believed that she started the modeling jobs in just February of this year. However, despite her name change, it only took a few months before school administrators found out what was going on.

Sprauer has given an account of her story to The Sun Sentinel, where she described that Principal Alfred Fabrizio asked her in April, "Was that you?"

"Yes," Sprauer simply answered.

In a letter dated April 29, Sprauer had signed her resignation letter from the school.

She has since said that she regrets not being able to stay with her students and says that she had a good relationship with them.

She has said, "It was a risk I'm willing to take. I'm surprised I hadn't been asked to resign sooner."

"I felt it would have been nice for my students to finish out the year with me," she told the Huffington Post. "They trusted me and they made me happy so that aspect of it was sad."

According to Florida's code of ethics, teachers are required to adhere to "a high moral standard in a community."
