A sneak peek at the first five minutes of "Survivor: Kaoh Rong" was released by CBS ahead of the season 32 premiere on Wednesday.

The video, shared by People, shows the boats containing the 18 strangers who signed up to stay for 39 days on the tropical island in Cambodia called Kaoh Rong, where they will face different challenges and prove that they can endure the harsh conditions and outsmart their fellow castaways.

"Scorching temperatures and stifling humidity punished the body. Dehydration and heat stroke can bring down even the strongest. The smallest cut can lead into a life threatening infection," host Jeff Probst says in the video.

The set of castaways of "Survivor: Kaoh Rong" is divided into three tribes, which have six members each. They patterned the theme of the season after "Survivor: Cagayan," where the castaways were grouped according to their dominant attributes such as Brains (Chan Loh), Brawn (To Tang), and Beauty (Gondol).

This season, a 72-year-old former FBO agent from Vero Beach, Florida named Joseph De Campo signed up to become one of the castaways. He is the second septuagenarian to join the long-running reality competition after "Survivor: Borneo" contestant Rudy Boesch.

Other notable contestants in "Survivor: Koah Rong" include the former Boston Celtics player Scot Pollard, who last played in the NBA during the Celtics' championship win in 2008. He will try to defeat the record of NBA veteran Cliff Robinson, who only lasted for 18 days in "Survivor: Cagayan" in 2014.

Joining Del Campo in the Chan Loh tribe are Debbie Wanner from Reading, Pennsylvania, Aubry Bracco from Cambridge, Massachusetts, Elisabeth Markham from New York Cuity, New York, Neal Gottlieb from Sausaliti, California, and Peter Baggenstos from Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Pollard will join the To Tang tribe, together with Kyle Jason from Detroit, Michigan, Alecia Holden from Dallas Texas, Cydney Gillon from Douglasville, Georgia, Jennifer Lanzetti from Salt Lake City, Utah, and Darnell Hamilton from Chicago, Illinois.

Former "Big Brother" contestant Caleb Reynolds will be part of the Gondol tribe, which also includes Anna Khait from Brooklyn, New York, Michele Fitzgerald from Freehold, New Jersey, Nick Maiorano from Redondo Beach, California, Julia Sokolowski from Boston, Massachusetts, and Tai Trang from San Francisco, California.

"Survivor: Kaoh Rong" premieres on Wednesday, Feb. 17. The premiere episode will be streamed online on CBS Live.
