The upcoming massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) "Star Citizen" now has its single-player mode, "Squadron 42," which has been getting more attention recently. With its first trailer being recently revealed, fans now know what to expect from the game. However, its minimum requirements for PC may be something that players will find surprising.
While there is only so much that can be said about the game's requirements, the most surprising feature in "Squadron 42" would have to be the fact that it needs a whopping 16 gigabytes (GB) of random access memory (RAM). That is only just the minimum needed. Although the game would not be coming out anytime soon, and it is possible that a 16 GB RAM minimum would be normal in the future, it does not seem that the game would be in development for that long.
The other requirements are like the usual for any modern game. According to DSOGaming, fans would need a quad-core central processing unit (CPU), a 64-bit version of Windows 7 and above, and a DirectX 11 Graphics Card with at least 2 GB. As for specifics on the graphics card, there is not much information as to the minimum model of either Nvidia or AMD. Needless to say, with this information, fans can expect that it is definitely going to be a big game.
There is some speculation that this may seem too exaggerated. This is especially considering that the game is only in single-player mode. Everyone would just have to wait for any further details regarding the game's requirements.
For now, tech-savvy fans can try judging by watching the latest trailer of "Squadron 42." For those who have not seen it yet, the trailer features Mark Hamill in a totally different character but in a similar space setting. The Luke Skywalker actor is less of a hero in the game as he portrays Lieutenant Commander Steve "Old Man" Colton.
