Soul Survivor Announces New Event for 2007

Youth ministry Soul Survivor recently announced a new event for 2007: Soul Survivor C. The event takes place at the Cheshire Showground near Knutsford, from the 3-7 August, 2007.

Hosted by Mike Pilavachi, Ali MacInnes and Andrew Croft, and with worship led by Tim Hughes and Ben Cantelon, the five-day event focuses on the Soul Survivor core values of worship, teaching and ministry.

Mike Pilavachi, Director of Soul Survivor said, "We've been amazed at how much Soul Survivor has grown over these last few years. This summer we saw our event attendance top 25,000 people and saw around 1,000 make first time commitments to Jesus, but the truth is we're desperate to see more. We want to reach and equip a whole generation of young people to love and follow God and to live radical lives that proclaim Him in words, works and wonders. We're really excited that through Soul Survivor C in Cheshire not only can we make life easier for our delegates from the midlands, the north of England and Scotland, but we can also meet some new friends."

Soul Survivor, which equips young people to live passionate lives for Jesus, held its first conference in 1993, which was attended by 1,900 young people. Since then the events have grown to three five-day conferences for teenagers and an additional five-day event for students and twenty-somethings called Momentum.

In 2004, 20,000 young people from all over the world gathered in London for SOULINTHECITY, a Soul Survivor initiative designed to show the love of God through practical projects and evangelistic events. Plans are already underway for a SOULINTHECITY event in Durban in 2009.
