After announcing that Sony will finally allow mod creation on both "Skyrim Remastered" and "Fallout 4," Bethesda clarified some of the major points on how to make it work.

Express UK reported that Bethesda's Vice President of PR and Marketing Pete Hines turned to Twitter to answer questions about how the fan-made mods work on the upcoming games "Skyrim Remastered" and "Fallout 4."

When asked if the upcoming remastered edition of "The Elder Scrolls", titled "Skyrim Special Edition," will automatically come out with mods, the game studio executive said that it is not possible. According to Hines, the fans create the mods, and they are the ones who pick the platforms where they can play the mods. This means that coming up with built-in mods for games like the "Skyrim Remastered" is considered impossible.

Hines also explained how to create mods for "Fallout 4" in PlayStation 4, saying that players will need the Creation Kit to make a playable mod. He also said that players only can use and reuse the assets present in the main game and DLC.

The game studio executive also clarified that the assets made for "Skyrim Remastered" mods can never be used in "Fallout 4" and vice versa. "We never allow assets from one game to be used in another, including our own games," Hines stated.

Bethesda initially announced in September that Sony will not allow fan-created mods on PlayStation 4 for both game titles, but the studio retracted the news when the game console manufacturer overturned their decision.

"We are excited finally to get modding to our PlayStation fans who have supported us for so long," Bethesda said in a statement published by The Verge. "Modding has been an important part of our games for over 10 years, and we hope to do even more in the coming year for all our players, regardless of platform."

The mods for "Skyrim Remastered" will be available once the game comes out on Oct. 28. Bethesda is expected to make an announcement as to when the mods for "Fallout 4" will come.
