More than a decade ago, the action-adventure game "Shadow of the Colossus" was released. Fans have not yet completely gotten over their rejoicing for having recently gotten a remaster of their beloved game when more good news from the game developer arrives. With this latest remaster for the PlayStation 4 (PS4) being a success, developer Bluepoint informed the public that it is planning to release another remaster of another game.
In an interview with Digital Foundry via Eurogamer, Bluepoint president and co-owner Marco Thrush made some interesting revelations. He was asked whether the team that worked on the remasters will also work on a new original game, to which he replied, "Well, we could but we're doing another remake."
"So now our next step is, let's improve the art pipeline, let's improve the engine, let's improve workflow for artists, let's grow on the art side some more to handle out next project because it's a bit bigger," he went on to explain. That said, fans now wonder what kind of remastered game could be bigger than the remastered "Shadow of the Colossus."
Majority of the interview discussion focused on Thrush proudly expressing his confidence in his team and rightly so given the success of their recent remake. He mentions that they are ready to take on bigger projects and can handle any project thrown at them. It would seem natural for the company to aim at something greater but unfortunately, they have not revealed yet what that game might be.
"We're really excited about the next project and we think you will be too when you find out what it is," teased Thrush. Aside from "Shadow of the Colossus," Bluepoint has an impressive resume of remakes including "Gravity Rush Remastered" and "Metal Gear Solid HD collection."
As for what fans can expect from Bluepoint Games and what their next game, or rather remake, would be, they will have just to wait for further announcements. One thing is sure though, many fans have gotten excited over the upcoming remaster, whatever game that may be.
