Keke Palmer has revealed that "Scream Queens" will have a major facelift in its second season.

In an interview with TooFab, the actress updated the fans about the status of the production of Ryan Murphy's horror-comedy anthology that will premiere in September.

"We're on the 3rd episode. We're happy to be back in L.A., on the Paramount lot, which brings back a lot of good memories for me from 'True Jackson, VP,'" Palmer said.

The actress also revealed that a lot of things will change when the series returns for its sophomore season.

"This season is totally different, we're not in the school anymore, it's been a couple of years later, we're now in a hospital and it's a totally different type of vibe," she stated.

For "Scream Queens" season 2, Palmer's character, Zayday Williams, will turn the former Kappa Kappa Tau sorority president into a physician-in-training at former Dean Cathy Munsch's (Jamie Lee Curtis) hospital after graduating from Wallace University in just two years.

According to the actress, Zayday will try to save as many lives as she can to shake off the feeling that she had when she saw a lot of people die during the first season.

"I think that's such a cool aspect of the show, even though it's a hyperreality type of joint, it follows how they're affected by the deaths of last season," Palmer also said. "She's teamed up with Dean Munsch to help her create this hospital that is all about curing diseases that the world has deemed incurable."

Palmer will join other returning cast members such as Emma Roberts as Chanel Oberlin, Lea Michele as Hester Ulrich, Glen Powell as Chad Radwell, Abigail Breslin as Libby Putney and Billie Lourd as Sadie Swenson.

The second season of "Scream Queens" will also introduce new characters, including John Stamos as mysterious head surgeon Dr. Brock Holt and Taylor Lautner as Dr. Cassidy Cascade who has a strange medical condition. The characters debuted in the latest teaser for the upcoming season.

"Scream Queens" season 2 premieres on FOX on Sept. 20.
