"Scream Queens" season 2 is currently on a hiatus, and the show will be back shortly after the Halloween festivities fizzle out. However, for the folks over at the C.U.R.E. hospital, the scarefest is just about to begin.
For Chanel (Emma Roberts) and her entourage, the horror comes in doing the dirty work, which is why the return of Dr. Ingrid Hoffel (Kirstie Alley) is nothing but terror.
In "Scream Queens" season 2 episode 5 titled "Chanel Pour Homme-icide," Ingrid will implore the Chanels to get their hands dirty, and she will make sure they realize how nauseating it will be.
The promo for the episode shows Ingrid hand them a cluster of catheter tubes. "Careful, some of them were still a little juicy," she tells them, with Chanel number 3 (Billie Lourd) immediately throwing them.
This would lead her looking for new Chanels that will do the dirty work for her, and it looks like she will not have a hard time recruiting.
According to the synopsis for "Scream Queens" season 2 episode 5, Chanel will take on the new patients in the hospital as potential additions to her group.
She will have a lot to choose from, especially since the hospital will see a strange influx of patients after Dean Munsch (Jamie Lee Curtis) informs the authorities about the murders in the facility.
She has always disregarded that idea, but the increasing body count appears to have given her no other option but to involve the authorities, thus putting in danger the chances of her developing the cure for her Kuru disease.
The increase in patients comes at the worst possible time as the condition of one of them causes the doctors and nurses to go "a little mad," as per the synopsis.
Meanwhile, the upcoming episode will also see Zayday (Keke Palmer) and Chanel #5 (Abigail Breslin) make sense of the tragedies by visiting an individual "with ties to the hospital's past," as per the synopsis.
"Scream Queens" season 2 episode 5 is set to air on Tuesday, Nov. 1, at 9 p.m. ET on FOX.
