
Samsung fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the South Korean multinational company's latest phone, the Samsung A8. Technophiles around the world are all hoping that the device will be launched soon.
Based on rumored specs posted by GSM Arena, the phone will be thinner compared to the Note 7 at 6.22 x 3.02 x 0.24 in and smaller at 5.1 inches.
It will feature a Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution to make for great images. In terms of software, the phone will run on Android OS, v6.0.1 or Android Marshmallow. It will also use an Exynos 7420 Octa chipset while its CPU is an octa-core 4x2.1 GHz Cortex-A57 & 4x1.5 GHz Cortex-A53,
The phone will feature an internal memory of either 32 GB or 64 GB with 3 GB of RAM. As for external memory, the site lists that the MicroSD capacity of the Samsung A8 can reach 256 GB using the SIM 2 slot.
For selfie aficionados, the front camera will feature a 5 MP resolution. However, the primary camera features a 16 MP resolution with OIS, autofocus, and LED flash for sharper images.
As for multimedia, it has a loudspeaker and a 3.5mm jack that has active noise cancellation feature with dedicated music.
The phone is also listed to feature a non-removable Li-Ion 3050 mAh battery and is expected to be available in pearl white, midnight black, and champagne gold. Other features include Sensors Fingerprint, accelerometer, proximity, and compass.
According to a report by the University Herald, fans don't have too long to wait for the new device to come out to the market as Samsung recently completed the Bluetooth certification for it.
While the rumored August release did not materialize, this recent development hints that it may only be a few weeks before Samsung makes the announcement official and fans can find out which of these rumored specs are true.
