Rededicated Christian Recalls How He Nearly Made Pact with the Devil in His Lust for Money

One minute before he could complete his deal with the devil, Daniel Urrutia came to his senses.

Daniel, a 26-year-old rededicated Christian, recalled an incident that happened four years ago in Mission Hills, Santa Barbara County, California, when late at night he bumped into a woman on the street, according to God Reports.

The woman suddenly asked him casually, "So what is it that you want in life? Fame, fortune, power?"

"Money would be nice," Daniel replied nonchalantly.

"You can have all that and more if you bow down to a new master," the woman said as she led him to a house.

Following her, Daniel was sceptical but was intrigued by what the woman said.

Then entering a room, the woman issued him a challenge. It was just minutes away before midnight at that time. "You have until midnight to fall on your knees and say the Heavenly prayer," she told Daniel. "If you don't, the devil will show up, and he'll give you whatever you want."

Daniel felt he had been hypnotised.

At five minutes to midnight, Daniel saw the dim yellow light of the room change to orange and then dark red. He then heard what seemed like ravens fluttering their wings, cawing and cackling. They seemed to be crashing into the window.

Then he smelled something that reminded him of what he read from the Bible: the stench of sulfur mixed with vomit—the foul smell of evil.

He then realised that the woman was a witch.

"She was a witch. I felt it, not only through her words but also energy-wise," Daniel later said. "I felt like ... a lot of little pins [were] pressing on my chest. It was hard to breathe."

He asked himself if he would still pursue his curiosity. He still lusted for money, and the idea of becoming an instant millionaire with the least effort still looked very appealing.

But at one minute before midnight, Daniel dropped to his knees and prayed. He cried out to God and told the witch he had to go.

"I knew you wouldn't go through with it," said the disgusted witch, adding, "Don't ever come back" as she slammed the door behind him.

Daniel is now attending the Van Nuys Lighthouse Church in California.

"Jesus is a true gentleman who lets you go through things just to reassure yourself that He is the only way," Daniel told God Reports. "Satan is a perverse rascal who twists the truth and leads you to confusion and despair."
