Since the announcement of "Red Dead Redemption 2" in October last year, Rockstar Games has yet to attach an official release date to the highly anticipated game. However, it is said that the game may finally arrive on Oct. 3.

There is no denying that "Red Dead Redemption 2" is one of the most-anticipated games for 2017. In fact, long before the game was announced at the latter part of last year, there had already been numerous rumors said about it. While there is no questioning that fans jubilated when the game was finally announced, fans are still in a guessing game as to when it will exactly arrive as Rockstar has only said that it will be released in fall of 2017.

However, according to recent reports, a previous listing of a Polish media website, CD-Action, has listed Oct. 3 as the release date for the highly anticipated game. Nonetheless, the said website immediately took down its claim, citing that it was a mistake. Despite CD-Action rectifying its earlier claim, though, some still believe that it is possible for "Red Dead Redemption 2" to arrive on the said date as, after all, Oct. 3 is already fall 2017.

While it remains unclear whether "Red Dead Redemption 2" will really arrive on Oct. 3, some fans of the game have already expressed worry that Rockstar Games and its mother company, Take-Two Interactive, may employ the same content strategy it delivered to one of its other games, "Grand Theft Auto" (GTA). Reportedly, fans are complaining that the studio is more focused on the online multiplayer mode of "GTA 5," and that the same thing will be done to "Red Dead Redemption 2."

According to reports, some "GTA" fans are complaining that "GTA" online lacks proper security and suffers from hacking. While Rockstar has already addressed the security issues of "GTA" online, it has yet to fully and effectively deal with the concern as it was reported some weeks back that online hackers have stolen millions from players.

Rockstar Games has earlier confirmed that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will have a multiplayer mode, and that PlayStation 4 players will have first access to some content.
