Popular first-person shooter battle royale game, "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" or more commonly known as "PUBG," is finally out as an official release. However, this does not mean the end, as a lot of changes are still slated to come, with 2018 updates apparently becoming a lot more experimental.

"For us, the release of PUBG 1.0 is not the end to anything," said CEO of PUBG Corp. CH Kim in an interview via PC Gamer. "It's just one of the many milestones that we looked forward to accomplishing. We've seen a lot of Early Access games stay in Early Access for a very long amount of time. That's why we made a promise early on that we would get out of Early Access and make our 1.0 release within this year."

Kim explained that they have set many other goals for the game. Like "League of Legends," "DotA 2," "Overwatch," and many others, "PUBG" just might become another brand or a kind of eSport. As of now, Kim mentioned that they are still in negotiations with different production companies to see what they can do.

This may be hard to imagine for fans given the number of players each game has. However, Kim is confident having said that they have been the first to make a game in this genre to possibly gain worldwide popularity.

This follows the new things they could also do with the game itself. Just because the game is officially out, it does not mean that the possibility of making big changes and additions will stop. One of the things Kim mentions is the rules of the game itself. Currently, the top players from Korea have been gathered to do some experimentation on the speed and area of the blue zone and even on the removal of the red zone.

Kim reassures fans that the core gameplay itself will remain the same. Fans can definitely expect a lot of updates to be made next year.
