
Sony's Playsation 4 and Microsoft's Xbox One was unveiled months ago and pre-orders have been taken, but the exact release dates for both consoles have not been revealed as of yet.
The latest release date for the PS4 points to October 21, earlier than the predicted November release.
Sony will reveal the release date for its console at a Gamescon media conference in Cologne, Germany, on August 20. According to Sony, the show will kick off "with a briefing to media on our release plans for PlayStation 4, as well as updates on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita,"

The Xbox One is rumored to release in mid-November, just before the Black Friday sales frenzy. The first-day release is expected in Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Spain, United Kingdom, United States and New Zealand.
Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Sweden and Switzerland will not receive the console on the first day of its release, but will be receive it "as soon as possible.

PRICE:
The first fact to take into consideration is the official prices of the consoles, which were revealed earlier this week.
The Xbox One will go for sale with a price tag of £429 while the PS4 will be offered to customers considerably cheaper at £349.
HARDWARE SPECS:
The Xbox One comes with a custom eight-core x86 CPU, 500GB Hard drive, 8GB of DDR3 RAM, USB 3.0, HDMI in and out ports, and WiFi.
The Sony PS4 will feature a single-chip eight-core AMD "Jaguar " x86-64 APU with a Radeon based graphics engine, 8GB of GDDR5 RAM and a Blu-ray optical disc drive.
Sony beats Microsoft by packing the 8GB DDR5 RAM opposed to Microsoft's DDR3 RAM.
Both consoles use AMD's custom graphic processor.
DESIGN AND CONTROLLERS:
The design and controllers of the consoles have both been refreshed.
The Dualshock 4 controller for the PS4 is slightly bigger than its predecessor with its touchpad and easier gripping.
The Xbox One's controller has only slightly been changed from the previous controller, which was already a success among gamers.
