Sony is kicking off the new year with a pretty impressive roster of free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers. Headlining the January 2018 lineup are Telltale's "Batman" adventure game and the latest "Deus Ex" title.

Plus subscribers on PlayStation 4 can download the "Batman: The Telltale Series" season 1, which started in August 2016 and ended with episode 5 late last year. Eidos Montreal's well-received 2016 sequel to 2011's "Deus Ex: Human Revolution,"Deus Ex: Mankind Divided," is also available for PS4.

For PS Vita, Sony is offering Cowardly Creations' survival-horror adventure "Uncanny Valley" and 5pb's visual novel "Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness," which PS4 players may also get -- thanks to Sony's cross-buy program. Meanwhile, Keen Games' action-role-playing fantasy game "Sacred 3" and King Art Games' point-and-click adventure game "The Book of Unwritten Tales 2" are up for PlayStation 3 owners.

All these titles will be available for free beginning Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018 until Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018.

The PlayStation Plus January 2018 lineup is getting a bonus title as well, with "Starblood Arena." Developed by WhiteMoon Dreams and produced by San Diego Studio, it is an arena combat title currently exclusive for PlayStation VR. It can be downloaded for free from Jan. 2 through March 6, 2018.

In addition, "Warframe" players can get the PlayStation Plus Booster Pack II Bundle for free until Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018. The said bundle includes credits, weapons, boosters, and a mod pack.

In the meantime, those who have not tried PS Plus' free games for December 2017 can still download them until Jan. 2. To recap, the lineup includes "Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition," and "Kung Fu Panda: Showdown of Legendary Legends" for PS4 players; the "Syberia Collection" and "Xblaze Lost: Memories" for PS3; and "Forma.8" and "Wanted Corp" for PS Vita.

Those who own PlayStation VR may also download the arcade first-person shooter "Until Dawn: Rush of Blood."
