Among the cast members of the Prison Break sequel, Dominic Purcell — who plays Lincoln Burrows in the hit Fox franchise — is arguably one of the most excited about the project.

The actor — despite being injured on the set of the reboot — faithfully keeps fans posted on social media. Purcell shares snaps of himself and his co-stars behind the scenes, leaving fans to their own guesses as to what will happen in the brothers' latest adventure as they break out Michael from a Yemeni prison, IBTimes reported .

In a recent post, Purcell shared an article projecting the fans' high expectation of the sequel.

"I'm humbled as I'm sure the cast are; to be a part of this incredible tv drama and #international #phenomenon. A big debt and gratitude to @pscheuring writer creator and @foxtv @20thcenturyfox. Cheers. Kinda trips me out. But super stoked. S5 @prisonbreak. Will Blow up," he said.

The article cited the strong social media traction that the show garnered ever since it was announced that Fox would push through with the project.

Based on the survey conducted by ListenFirst Media posting 19.5 million total engagements from May through the end of August this year. The number translates to 10 times more than any other show being released this fall.

"The numbers show that 'Prison Break's' return to air is met with fervor from fans who have been missing the show for years, while 'This Is Us' stands out as the original program that triples everyone else," said Jason Klein, co-CEO and co-founder of ListenFirst Media.

Among the storylines that fans are eagerly anticipating from the show — aside from answering the question of how Michael survived from the last time he was seen in the show — is whether there will be a reunion between him and Dr. Sara Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callies), reported Parent Herald.

The show is expected to premiere in March 2017.
