The Hastings family will have a reunion in the second half of "Pretty Little Liars" season 7.
Entertainment Weekly revealed that actress Torrey Devitto will reprise her role as the eldest Hastings daughter, Melissa, in the last 10 episodes of "Pretty Little Liars" season 7.
Melissa was last seen in season 6 when she returned to Rosewood to help with her mother's senatorial campaign. But she left town while her sister, Spencer (Troian Bellisario), and the rest of the Liars suspect her of being involved with Charlotte's (Vanessa Ray) death because of her broken suitcase.
It is speculated that the truth about Spencer's identity will have an effect on the relationship between the Hastings siblings upon Melissa's return, especially since the viewers found out that Spencer is the daughter of Mary Drake (Jessica Parker).
Melissa's ex-boyfriend, Wren Kingston, is also set to return in one of the final 10 episodes of "Pretty Little Liars" season 7 since actor Julian Morris had been confirmed to reprise the role of the mysterious doctor. But there are no details released about the effects of Melissa and Wren's return on the series.
Meanwhile, executive producer Charlie Craig told The Hollywood Reporter that fans will finally find out the fates of Spencer, Toby (Keegan Allen), and Yvonne (Kara Royster) when the second half of "Pretty Little Liars" season 7 returns on April 2017.
According to Craig, viewers will immediately find out who is alive and who is not in the first episode of season 7B. "We're not going to drag it out, not see some of those characters for five episodes, and then discover what's going on," the executive producer stated. "We have so much ground to cover in these final 10 episodes that we want to make sure we present the audience right at the top who the players are and what's going to be in motion," he went on to say.
The remaining 10 episodes of "Pretty Little Liars" season 7 is set to return to Freeform in April next year.
