The Liars are in deeper trouble now that Lieutenant Linda Tanner (Roma Maffia) is keeping them at bay in the next episode of "Pretty Little Liars" season 6 episode 16.
In the trailer for the episode titled "Where Somebody Waits for Me," Tanner points out to Emily (Shay Mitchell) that mysterious deaths happen in Rosewood whenever the Liars are together. This means that the detective will once again pry into their lives to find out if they have something to do with Charlotte's (Vanessa Ray) death.
Meanwhile, the trailer also reveals that Alison (Sasha Pieterse) might have more idea about her sister's death compared to the Liars, since she was the one who will tell them that the murder weapon used on Charlotte was not the golf club. But how did Ali know all these? Is she keeping something from her friends?
The episode will also feature the obvious tension between Hanna (Ashley Benson) and Caleb (Tyler Blackburn). The two have long moved on from their failed relationship. Hanna is now engaged, while Caleb is secretly hooking up with Spencer (Troian Bellisario). But despite Hanna's approval of the relationship between her ex and one of her best friends, the two still seem to be awkward around each other.
In a sneak peek (via Melty) at the upcoming episode, Hanna and Caleb are talking about how the current events almost seem to bring them back to the time when A/Charlotte was still tormenting them. But Caleb tries to compliment Hanna, saying that he knows that she can beat the tormentor because she is smarter and stronger now. The awkward silence between the two seems to prove that they still have some feelings for each other.
Meanwhile, more revelations will be unveiled in the upcoming episode, including Aria's (Lucy Hale) involvement in Ezra's (Ian Harding) book, as well as where Mona's (Janel Parrish) loyalty really lies.
"Pretty Little Liars" season 6 episode 16 airs Tuesday, Feb. 16, on Freeform.
