Nintendo Switch gamers will soon enjoy two new Pac-Man games in 2018. Bandai Namco recently announced that it will release "Pac-Man Championship Edition 2" and "Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus" video games on Feb. 22, 2018.

Bandai Namco also released an announcement trailer highlighting the 2+'s new features. Players can now enjoy a co-op mode. The new gameplay mode allows gamers to choose who will do all the eating and who will attack against Pinky, Blinky, Inky, and Clyde. The two-player mode is not just about teaming up; players can now compete against each other to see who can get the higher score.

The trailer was well received by fans and video game critics. And there are those who are wondering if Ms. Pacman will be included in the video game especially in the co-op mode. Several gamers also applauded the game's mechanics and graphics.

IGN says that 2+ edition brings a strategy element to the game that gamers will surely enjoy. No additional features were announced by Bandai Namco other than the co-op mode. The video game company also has not disclosed any information if the game will be made available on other consoles like PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or PC.

The co-op mode is added to other game modes like adventure, big boss battle, and score attack introduced in the original edition of the game. The initial video game "Pac-Man Championship Edition 2" was released on Sept. 15, 2016. The arcade video game was then released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows. The game received impressive score ratings from video game experts. IGN gave the game a 7.5 out of 10 score, 8 out of 10 from GameSpot, and a 77 percent score rating from Metacritic.

The game is praised for its fast-paced arcade gameplay.
