Fans of the 3D platformer video game "Ginger: Beyond the Crystal" may soon be able to play the game on the Nintendo Switch. Game developer Drakhar Studio and publisher Badland Games announced on Nov. 6 that the highly-popular game will make way to the Switch platform, alongside the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
"A world destroyed by a crystal explosion, a mysterious threat hanging over its inhabitants, and a goddess who created a hero...this is Beyond the Crystal," read the game's official description. "Help Ginger restore peace, recover the brilliance of the crystal that keeps the world in balance, and travel through the crystal to repopulate the world. You're about to embark on an incredible adventure beyond the crystal! Are you ready?"
Not much has been revealed about the Switch version of the game, but it is said to be released on the Nintendo e-shop on Nov. 17. The physical edition of the game will be released to retail stores sometime in 2018, but so far, no official release date has been announced.
The game did release a Nintendo Switch trailer, and based on the video, it seems it does not differ much on the features included in other platforms. However, it remains to be seen whether the Switch will also feature exclusive perks such as touchscreen or HD rumble support.
To those who do not know, "Ginger: Beyond the Crystal" is a family-friendly game with simple enough objectives to completely achieve the mission. Since the world in the game is destroyed by a crystal explosion, Ginger must complete tasks to reconstruct the destroyed village by collecting materials and resources.
Ginger must also rescue his friends who are scattered across different worlds. Several levels include puzzles and obstacles, and if completely successful, parents and children can claim the "I've won the game" sensation after completing every mission.
"Ginger: Beyond the Crystal" was originally released on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on Oct. 25 last year.
