A new downloadable content (DLC) is coming for the open-world action role-playing game, "NieR: Automata."
On Monday, Francis Santos, product lead for Square Enix announced in the PlayStation blog that a new DLC is coming for the game. The new content, referred to as "3C3C1D119440927," is expected to bring in new costumes for Androids 2B, 9S, and A2, as well as rewards from completing three new colosseums to challenge and some sub-quests.
For the costumes, 2B is going to get a "revealing outfit," while 9S is going to have a "young man's outfit." Meanwhile, A2 is going to get a "destroyer's outfit." Fans who have played "NieR: Replica" will be familiar with the new threads as these costumes are inspired from the game's predecessor.
On the other hand, players will get various rewards that is expected to add more fun to the game. For instance, they can earn new cosmetic accessories such as hairspray that will enable the player to change the hair color of 2B and A2. Aside from this, players can also acquire masks that have unique "on equip" effects.
Other rewards that players can earn include special bullets that have the capability to change the appearance of the enemy's bullets. Also, players can have the chance to record special music tracks to their jukebox. For those who are looking for more challenge, players will have the chance to battle with Square Enix icon Yosuke Matsuda, although they cannot change his outfits.
The new DLC is going to be available in Japan on May 2 for 1,500 Yen or about $14. No word has been released regarding the western debut of the DLC, but it is expected to be launched soon.
