After exploring Alex Quinn's (Jennifer Esposito) back story — which explained why she chose to quit the field and opt for a desk job for so long — the show returns for its sixth episode. The NCIS team is expected to work on the case of a petty officer who escapes from her kidnapper. As the team investigates the motive for the kidnapping, they will discover that her husband has also disappeared.

For the episode, a familiar face from the series will return as sports analyst and former NFL player Tony Gonzales returns to the show as NCIS Special Agent Tony Francis. The character is expected to help solve the case, reported Spoiler TV.

A recently released promo hints that the petty officer in question would be the main target of the kidnapper and that Quinn's life may also be in danger as someone tries to trick the team. The episode is entitled "Shell Game," and is slated for an Oct. 25 release on CBS.

Meanwhile, is actress Emily Wickersham — who plays Bishop on the show — hinting that more of her family will be introduced in the series?

It can be recalled last season that Gibbs (Mark Harmon) met her mom — played by actress Lindsay Wagner — for the Thanksgiving episode.

This time around, the actress posted a snap on her Instagram showing her with three men – actors Ryan Doom, Jesse Bradford, and Jesse Johnson with the hashtag #BishopBrothers.

Doom also posted a pic of the trio with Wilmer Valderama — who plays Special Agent Nick Torres — with the caption Elevator Homies and confirming that it was taken on the set of NCIS.

The Instagram snaps further showed Wickersham goofing off with Valderma, leading some fans to conclude that Bishop may be working on a case with Torres in which they would need to visit her family.
