As the new season of the National Basketball Association has begun, trade rumors are now prevalent. From LeBron James to Greg Monroe, there is hearsay that these players are on the move.
Cleveland Cavaliers might never trade LeBron James, but according to NESN, an NBA executive thinks the team has to do it if they continue to struggle. The Eastern Conference champion had a disappointing start this season. Also, the group might have a hard time balancing given its present personnel.
The Cavs are said to be terrible when it comes to defense and some of their wins are just because they have James. The only possible time the team will stand again is the return of Isaiah Thomas. However, with his recent injury, it is still uncertain what help he could do.
Hence, for the sake of the team, Cleveland might have to do an NBA trade, even if it means having to let go of their No. 1 player. According to Bleacher Report, the pressure on the group is now pretty high. "They should either move the [Brooklyn Nets] pick or [Kevin] Love or LeBron," a rival team executive told the publication.
On the other hand, it looks like the Cavs want to have Greg Monroe as part of the NBA trade. Amico Hoops reported the team shows great interest in taking the 27-year-old star player and are now thinking of the ways to have him.
Before Monroe became a Phoenix Suns member, he was part of the Milwaukee Bucks. The Suns are now reportedly thinking about trading the Big East Rookie of the Year awardee via trade or contract buyout. However, if Cleveland wants to get him, the team should think of a creative way as it already has 15 players. Although he might be an offensive boost, the Cavs still need additional depth down low because of Tristan Thompson's absence.
