New stars are coming to the drama-filled sets of "Nashville," as CMT has recently announced. Joining the musical drama for season 6 are Josh Stamberg, Jake Etheridge, Rainee Lyleson, Nic Luken and Dylan Arnold.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the new faces will appear in recurring roles throughout the season.
Stamberg, known for "The Affair," will reportedly play the charismatic Darius, who founded a self-actualization movement and has transformed many lives. Etheridge will recur as Sean, a military veteran with great passion and talent for music. However, he is suffering from a severe posttraumatic stress disorder and has yet to accept his fate. "Love Is Now" actress Lyleson will play Alannah, a Nashville newcomer. She will enter the scene as a backup singer but will soon be discovered as a potential big star.
Luken, from the upcoming film "Ride," will star as Jonah Ford, an exceedingly handsome and charming pop star who has enough confidence to become a superstar. Arnold will play his childhood friend, Twig. He is also part of his entourage and is able to get through his anxiety issues with his good sense of humor.
The five new characters will surely spice up the already intricate web of drama in the musical series. They will join the other regular cast members, who ended season 5 with tons of conflict.
In the finale, the Maddie Conrad (Lennon Stella) and Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere) conflict comes to a head after the latter admits to song theft. Scarlett O'Connor (Clare Bowen) and Gunnar Scott (Sam Palladio) are on the outs once again. All these happened as Deacon Claybourne and his Highway 65 label stand their ground over Maddie's refusal to do a commercial in a certain way.
The sneak peek into the series' sixth season will show the drama's protagonists try to make a new start amid all the scars from the past seasons. But can they do it?
