As "Nashville" makes its season 5 comeback in a new home, actor Will Chase will return with it. The actor is set to reprise his role as Luke Wheeler in the series.

The news comes from cast member Chris Carmack, who shared a selfie of himself with Chase (see above), which he captioned, "It's always a good day opening up for Luke Wheeler!"

Chase then confirmed his "Nashville" season 5 return by tweeting back, "Felt good to put the boots back on and always great to see YOU brother!"

Apart from the country music superstar's comeback this season, the fact that the characters are in good terms now shows that Luke and Will have decided to bury the hatchet and move on.

Things back in the previous season were not as good as they are right now as Luke was looking to get Will out of his label, which will not happen in "Nashville" season 5, seeing how they are towards each other now.

When the "Nashville" renewal in CMT was first announced, Chase was announced not to appear in it as the actor was tapped as series regular in the new ABC drama, "Time After Time."

Luke last appeared in the "Maybe You'll Appreciate Me Someday," and it looks like his appearance in "Nashville" season 5 will be the last one for the series.

With regards to Will, it is rumored that he and Kevin (Kyle Dean Massey) will take their romance to the next level, although it will not be an all-too-smooth ride.

According to TV Guide, Will is going to be distracted in "Nashville" season 5 with temptations, although it is unclear if it is out of his fear of commitment or if he is just too easy to lure.

"Nashville" season 5 will premiere on Thursday, Jan. 5, at 9 p.m. ET on CMT.
