During the Screen Actors Guild Awards party hosted by Entertainment Weekly, lead actor Rami Malek, who portrays Elliot Alderson, teased several details about the story of "Mr. Robot" season 2.

"Look there's definitely a fallout from what happened in season 1 and that will be broached," Malek said during the star-studded event on Friday.

"It's kind of sad and disturbing how we've been able to anticipate events that have happened in our culture in the world so I assume that that will continue to happen but you can never predict the future and how distressful it might be, so as much as I think we have the ability to capture that, I hope that we don't, but that would be naive," he continued.

The actor also revealed that he and the other cast members of the show will soon get together for the read-through for the first half of the show's sophomore season. He also mentioned that he is currently spending more time with the show's resident psychologist because his character will focus on the obsession and his mental illness for the upcoming season.

"We're going to shoot everything as if we're shooting a movie," Malek also said, "so just jumping around from episode to episode, which seems very daunting but we have one director for the entire season, Sam Esmail, our creator."

Meanwhile, it was recently revealed that "American Horror Story" actress Grace Gummer will be introduced as one of the regular cast members of the sci-fi drama.

The actress will reportedly portray the role of Dominique "Dom" DiPierro, who is described as "a young FBI field agent investigating the Evil Corp Hack." "She uses her instinctive skills to try and track down the fsociety members and find answers," the description continues.

"Mr. Robot" will return to USA Network later in 2016.
