The action roleplaying game "Middle-earth: Shadow of War" is getting a free downloadable expansion pack (DLC) sometime in November and December. The developers, Monolith Productions, made the announcement on Nov. 16, stating that the new updates and features would be coming out for free.

According to Rolling Stone, the first update will be coming to excited fans on Nov. 21. The rest of the updates will be released slowly but regularly until Dec. 12.

Here is some of the new content, and what players can expect to see in-game in the near future.

Endless Siege, in this mode players, will defend a fortress against the Dark Lord's Fortress. Rebellion, in this mode players, will fight against rebels in the name of the Bright Lord. Enhanced Photo Mode, this one is a bit different from the other game updates, instead of battling one's way through enemy hordes or struggling to stay alive, photo mode will have players capture pictures of the environment and game's scenery. Aside from that, they will be able to apply filters to the photo and pretty it up as well.

The remaining two updates are the Online Fight Pit and the Brutal Difficulty update. In Online Fight Pit, as the name suggests, players will challenge one another in combat. What follows is a gritty and engaging fight to the death between the players. The winner will not only receive prizes and upgrades but honor and bragging rights as well. Brutal Difficulty is just as daunting an update as the Online Fight Pit, this new difficulty setting will allow players to tweak the game's difficulty to give themselves an even bigger challenge. Reportedly, this brand new difficulty setting is going to be very tough.

According to video game news website PC Gamer, three of the five updates will be released on Nov. 21. The fight pits will see the light of day on Dec. 5, while the Brutal Difficulty setting will have to wait until Dec. 12 before players will have the chance to get their hands on it.
