Despite having an all-star ensemble, it is pretty amazing how actress Margot Robbie stole the show as Harley Quinn in 2016's "Suicide Squad." Her portrayal of Quinn was so well-received that Even Paul Dini, the creator of the character, absolutely loved her performance.

The "Wild Card" in the team that squad founder Amanda Waller calls "the worst of the worst," Harley was a big hit with the audience due to her childish behavior and literally crazy antics. Harley was so insane that Batman had no choice but to lock her up inside Arkham Asylum where other dangerous villains are kept.

Still, despite being the least capable member of the group — based on the fact that her teammates are skilled assassins and super-powered beings — it was Harley who ultimately saved the day with her quick thinking; she only even asked for an espresso machine in return for all her efforts.

So, now that the Suicide Squad has been locked back into their cells, when will fans see Robbie wear the pigtails and the makeup again?

In an interview with Collider, Robbie said that Harley Quinn's next appearance might be sooner than everyone thinks.

"I think we're very close, actually. Everyone has been working really hard, myself included, to get Harley back on screen. I think it will be quite soon. There's so much more to explore with her. I can't wait! I hope next year, but with bigger films, it takes a lot longer to get it all up and running," Robbie stated.

The 27-year-old Australian actress is set to produce "Gotham City Sirens," which would also feature Catwoman and Poison Ivy. There are also plans for a solo Harley Quinn movie and the inevitable "Suicide Squad 2 sequel, which is rumored to begin production sometime in 2018.
