After a major health scare that almost cost him his life, former LA Lakers forward Lamar Odom is on his way to recovery.
Odom joined the family of his wife Khloe Kardashian in Los Angeles for the Kardashians' Easter Sunday celebration. He can be seen dancing and having a good time in Kylie Jenner's Snapchat video.
The former NBA star was also seen with Khloe, who live-streamed their drive to church. This was the second time that the couple was seen in public. On Friday, the two were spotted as they stepped out for dinner.
The couple was married in September 2009 after a month of dating, but they parted ways in 2013 after several months of speculations that they were having trouble at home. The two signed their divorce papers in July 2015, but Khloe decided to pull out their case in October 2015 after Odom encountered a near-fatal drug overdose and found almost lifeless at a brothel in Crystal, Nevada. Khloe immediately rushed to his side when he was put in a coma and later took him home to California.
Meanwhile, a source told HollywoodLife that the 36-year-old former basketball player is building his motivation to recover faster by watching this year's March Madness on television. "Lamar's at the crib, eating up March Madness! He can't get enough of the tournament," the source said.
The insider also mentioned that Odom gets inspiration from the talent and drive of the up-and-coming basketball players on TV.
"These guys on the court are hungry and have so much raw energy and talent and Lam respects that," the source added. "It reminds him when he was coming up in the ranks, trying to win tournaments and ultimately get into the NBA, which he did."
The source also said that Odom finally returned to the basketball court after a lot of therapy, but he is still far from being well enough to return to the NBA.
