Paraboles' "Kona" now playable on the Nintendo Switch

If open-world game is a thing that you fancy and a Nintendo Switch is something that you currently own, then look no further as Paraboles mystery-exploration game "Kona" is now out on the year-old platform, bringing with it a new experience that players have never seen before.

In collaboration with publisher Ravenscourt, developer Paraboles has officially released "Kona" on Nintendo's newest platform -- the Switch.

Dropping late last week, "Kona's" release on Nintendo's eShop came as a surprise to many who were waiting on the game's official Switch port as the Quebec-based developer stealthily debuted the game without prior notice or announcements.

Set in the North of Quebec during the 70s, "Kona" will see players take on the role of an investigator named Carl Faubert. The story will follow Faubert as he unravels the truth inside a village shrouded in mystery and the odd. On top of this, users will have to accomplish all of this all the while battling the cold of the Canadian winter.

According to COGConnected, more than the game's cold atmosphere, the title will offer so much more, starting with various plot twists, shocking elements, and strange events integrated in-game -- a surefire way to keep users wanting for more.

The title, which debuted on Steam for the PC platform, was available as an early access game which, in a short amount of time, garnered many fans and countless positive reviews from players who tried the game.

Two years later in 2017, the game's full version officially launched on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the PC platform. The same year, Parabole expressed its plans of porting the game into the Switch console, however, no specific release date was announced.

The game is now available for purchase on the Nintendo eShop. If you have plans on purchasing the game, you can watch the trailer below to learn more about the title.
