It is official -- Grammy Awards winner Kendrick Lamar has released the Collector's Edition of his Grammy-nominated album "Damn." The Collector's Edition album features the tracklist in reverse. This means fans can start from the song "Duckworth" all the way to "Damn."
The "Humble" rapper posted a link of his new album on Twitter with a new album cover and the tracklist in reverse. There have been rumors about the re-released album earlier this week. Pitchfork is the first to release the speculated news.
Lamar is recognized as one of the most lyrical rappers in the present generation of rappers. During an interview with MTV News, the rapper revealed that most of his albums are well-executed so that fans can fully enjoy and interpret all the lyrics in every song. "Any of my fans know that my albums get real intricate and there's always details in there. For the most part, they usually have a good listening ear to figure out what's going on."
The Compton rapper also shared that he enjoys listening to the album "Damn" in reverse. "The initial vibe listening from the top all the way to the bottom is... this aggression and this attitude. You know, 'DNA,' and exposing who I really am. You listen from the back end, and it's almost the duality and the contrast of the intricate Kendrick Lamar. Both of these pieces are who I am," he explained.
Lamar dropped his fourth studio album "Damn" back on Apr. 14 and is nominated for a Grammy under the category of "Best Rap Album" of 2017. Lamar is up against Jay-Z, Migos, Rapsody, and Tyler, and The Creator in the category.
There are still no news if Lamar is working on a new album. Lamar is working with rapper Jeezy with the latter's upcoming album "Pressure."
The "Damn" Collector's Edition is now available for purchase through iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, Apple Music, and Best Buy.
