Pop sensation Justin Bieber took to the streets of Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon to chat with some homeless people and offer them some water and snacks.

After finishing up a work out session at SoulCycle in LA, the 24-year-old singer walked across the street with water and a towel in hand when he took some time to speak with the homeless.

The Daily Mail reports that at the time, Bieber was wearing a blue and white Adidas jacket over a black and white T-shirt that featured a logo of hands clasped in prayer.

He took some time to talk with a man and a woman lying on the sidewalk, and at one point even lay down with them in an apparent effort to make them feel more comfortable.

Bieber has been known for his charitable acts in the past, including donating money to schools, paying a visit to sick children and giving away Christmas gifts to underprivileged kids.

The Canadian singer regularly attends church services and Bible studies almost weekly at Hillsong Church in LA.

It was even rumored that he canceled the last leg of his Purpose tour so that he could "rededicate his life to Christ" and there were also rumors that Bieber was planning to start his own church, but the singer told TMZ that he just needed some rest after spending two years on the road.

The pop singer's renewed interest in the church came after a series of unfavorable headlines after his arrest for throwing eggs at a neighbor's house and driving under the influence.

Earlier this week, The Sun reported that Bieber is currently working on a comeback album containing "Christian-appropriate" songs more reflective of his religious beliefs.

"Justin is on the lookout for songs which really reflect where he is in his life in terms of spirituality," a source close to Bieber told The Sun.

"He has always been religious but the last two years have seen him grow closer to the Hillsong Church and it has changed his entire life. He has a totally different outlook now," the source continued.

The source went on to note that Bieber is working with the same team who helped him with his last album, "Purpose," but he is "reshaping his sound so it is more in line with the church's values and beliefs."

"There are key themes of love and redemption in the tracks he has created so far. It will certainly surprise some fans," the source said.
