Although fans are pleased that Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez reunited, Selena's mother and former manager, Mandy Teefey, is not happy about it. But she clarified that she does not stop Selena from doing what she wants.

Mandy said that although she is not happy that her daughter got back with Justin, she acknowledges that Selena is already an adult. She also said that Selena can live her life in any way she wants as long as she is happy, safe, and healthy. She added that the singer has her own choices in life.

The clarification comes after some outlets sensationalized the story about Mandy and Selena, saying that she slammed her daughter for being with Justin again. She said that even if she expressed her disappointment over the matter, it does not mean that she will bash her own child.

Because of the never-ending stories about her relationship with Selena, Mandy took to Facebook to clarify the claims. This includes the false tabloid story that she demanded Gomez to get a breathalyzer test after reuniting with Bieber.

"I have done nothing but protect my child her entire career against vile people that have way more power than me, even after I was no longer managing because I am her mom," Mandy said in a lengthy Facebook post. She also added that Selena can trust her and she will always be her mother.

According to reports, the reason why Mandy does not want her daughter to get back with Justin is because of his bad influence on Selena. Outlets report that Justin got Selena hooked on drugs before. These happened during the bad boy phase of the "Baby" singer, which includes the time when he was arrested for DUI.

As a mother, Mandy fears that Justin will bring back Selena to the dark place. However, it is Selena who will decide, and Mandy will still continue loving her, whatever decisions she makes.
