Cast member Joy-Anna Duggar, from the television show "Counting On" by TLC, is expected to give birth to her child with husband Austin Forsyth on February of 2018. However, there are rumors circulating that Joy-Anna could possibly be pregnant for longer than she and her family, the Duggars, have been letting on. The fans and the media have been using the due date to calculate whether the child had been conceived after or before the wedding.

In a report by the International Business Times, fans have noticed something in photos that Joy-Anna has been posting on Instagram. Her stomach is a little bit bigger than it should be – given the amount of time that she had stated she had been pregnant. Additionally, an expert opinion had further stated that the size of Joy-Anna's belly would suggest that she is about 24 to 26 weeks pregnant, and not just 18 weeks as the Duggars keep suggesting.

According to The Hollywood Gossip, fans were initially surprised to know that Joy-Anna was pregnant, after it was publicly announced. This was in part due to her youth. In addition, it raised the question of whether the ceremony on May 26 was indeed a "shotgun wedding." If the two had engaged in pre-marital sex, it is feared that the pristine reputation of the religious and conservative Duggar family will be tarnished.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, In Touch reported that the Duggars have been successful in squashing the speculations regarding pre-marital sex and pregnancy. However, if the caption on the joint Instagram page of Joy-Anna and Austin is true, then the baby must be just 18 weeks as they had originally reported. This is partly due to the fact that this is the approximate time for a baby to be making some movements in the womb.
