Justin Bieber's father Jeremy Bieber was with the singer at the time of his arrest for drag racing in Miami Thursday morning.

Jeremy Bieber was reportedly hanging out with his pop star son hours up to his arrest for drag racing and DUI in a residential zone.

Reports state that Jeremy Bieber also helped block off the street so his son can take part in the drag race with friend Khalil Sharief, who was also arrested this morning.

Jeremy was also spotted at the SET nightclub and at a beach with Justin.

Yesterday, he simply tweeted to his two milion Twitter followers: "Miami."

Meanwhile, Bieber's mom Patti Mallete is said to be very concerned about her son and upset over his arrest.

A private plane has been flown to Miami so Justin can be taken back to his home in Los Angeles after his arrest ordeal.

A source told MailOnline: "Unlike Jeremy, Patti is genuinely very concerned about her son. She's been very sad and worried over the past few weeks."

Jeremy Bieber and Patti Malette broke up when Justin was just ten months old. He was raised by his single mother, but still credits his dad for being there for him while growing up.

Bieber credits his dad for teaching him how to drive and play some songs on the guitar. He previously spoke fondly about his dad, telling 17 magazine in 2010: " He's the one who got me into classic rock and then turned me on to stuff like Guns N' Roses and Metallica," Justin told the magazine. 'He taught me how to drive too. He's cool."

Both Jeremy and Justin have matching seagull tattoos.
